Lob me the lobster

I had never had lobster before, so I mentioned this to a family friend and the next time I went round their house, this bad boy was waiting for me and I got to have my first ever proper lobster.

If I'm honest I didn't absolutely love it. It was nice and the meat is delicious but it was really hard to eat, I do not recommend eating lobster on a date at all! You have to break the shell open yourself to get the meat and when you crack it with your lobster tools that you should be given, sea water sprays at you.
I was wearing a brand new very expensive grey silk top....it looked navy blue by the time I left, I was so so wet.
BEWARE.
But it's such a fun experience for everyone, just don't wear your best clothes or maybe wear a bib?

Tea with the Queen

As a true Brit, it's always been a dream of mine to have tea with the Queen. So look what I purchased to entertain me this Christmas...

Royal Family Teabags
They are UNBELIEVABLE.

SO, needless to say my family have been enjoying many a cuppa with the Royals this winter.
I bought these from Between The Lines, a small but beautiful gift shop in Surrey but they're available everywhere.

New year, new city - Blizzards in Berlin

New Year in a New City

A year of strength, happiness, perseverance, courage, love.
A year of change.
A new year.

2013 was a wonderful year for me, a year full of more laughter and happiness with incredible friends than some people experience in a lifetime. But it was a real year of change, I moved to France as part of my degree, away from my friends, my family and my boyfriend and I won't lie, it's been tough at times.
But I have learnt so much this year about strength, happiness, perseverance, courage and love.
So I wanted to start 2014 with a bang so I went with my boyfriend to Berlin for a weekend in the snow.

Thank god I checked the weather before we left as I had packed sandals and floral dresses when infact due to the -18 degrees and the amount of blizzards, we basically lived in ski jackets and thermal long johns for the entire time.

After my wonderful week in Berlin I started thinking about the future and about the year ahead. My new years resolution for this year is to better accept change.
----------------------------
I have now been living in France for six months and as hard as it has been at times, it has also been wonderful at others. I've lived away from my favourite people in the world for six months but they're still here. Enjoying a wonderful christmas with my friends and family in England and spending new years with boyfy in Berlin have just reminded me that change is inevitable and you can't fight it but if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture you realise that no matter how far you go, if the love you have is real, it will stay the same, no matter the distance.

So here's to 2014, a year of change but who's to say it can't be for the better.
I'm choosing to look forward to a year full of friends, family, parties, cake (not even going to try and make a resolution about that), champagne and lots of snuggles with my boyfriend in front of Made in Chelsea and Gossip Girl.
