The Waffle House

There are only three Waffle Houses in the world, this one happens to be one of my favourite eating spots ever. The concept is simple - waffles, that's it, just waffles. There are chalkboard menus full of savoury and sweet topping options ranging from bolognaise and meze board to bannoffee and ofcourse the good old maple syrup.
It's affordable, welcoming, stylish and absolutely delicious!

A month in Rio

Blown Away by Brazil

I've been to Brazil a few times and each time gets better than the last. Out of all of South America, Brazil is by far my favourite!
It is known by many for its famous beaches (Copacabana and Ipanema), the amazing football (something I don't know that much about) and the sightseeing (Corcovado statue, Sugarloaf mountain etc). Don't get me wrong all of these aspects of Brazil are great but for me the real beauties of Brazil are its people and their relaxed and chilled way of life.

A classic Brazilian delicacy to try is the Caiparinha, a classic Brazilian cocktail made from cachaca, lime and sugar. They're ridiculously refreshing in the South American heat but drink one too many and you may look like this! (Above)
We found a bat chilling on one of our suitcases...random. Scary or hilarious?
A few Brazilian friends of mine picked me up on their motorbikes and we drove to a waterfall in Guapiacu, just outside of Rio and just spent the day chilling and bronzing.

Fake flowers vs real flowers

For some reason loads of people look down on fake flowers and judge the people that buy them. I won't lie to you, I used to be one of them. Some people consider fake flowers a cop out and they think that it's almost lazy to choose fake flowers over real flowers. If you asked me a month ago I'd probably agree with you but I've recently been working for All About Eve, a wonderful homeware company that sells artificial flowers among many other gorgeous home furnishings...so I bought an artificial hydrangea...and then another one...and then another four...and then pretty much every other artificial flower they stock.

Artificial flowers are fantastic, they always look perfect, there are no dud petals or buds, no mess to clear up, no mouldy flower smell if you forget to change the water, in fact no water needed at all. Most importantly you only have to buy them once, need I say more...

I'm not telling you all to buy an artificial forest like I have through my MANY impulse purchases, I'm simply saying don't knock them till you've tried them.

New Country, new home,

Since moving back from France I have been looking for a beautiful house to live in when I go back to University in September! So, today with a few of my favourite girls, I scoured the houses in Norwich until I found a beautiful one in a perfect location.

You can tell what kind of girls we are through our choice of house. It is beautiful and smells of Chanel no. 5 with large bunches of white hydrangeas and vases of pink peonies decorating each room. We've only done the kitchen so far, and despite not having any kitchen utensils yet, we have a whole cupboard dedicated to hot chocolate and another reserved for marshmallows...
There will be blog posts to come full of photos of each room and how I have furnished it.
I am so excited for a summer of furniture hunting, restoring and shopping!
I'll keep you posted.
