It's about to look a lot like Christmas

Seeing as Advent starts tomorrow, it is important to feel as festive as possible as soon as possible. SO every year on the last day of November, I invest in a Christmas candle to light at midnight so I can start advent with a bang.

This year, I have chosen the Winter Garden candle by All About Eve.
It is a GORGEOUSLY scented candle, if you could put all the aspects of Christmas into a candle, this would be it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and make my house smell of Christmas.

Olsen Obsession

Like pretty much every girl that grew up in the nineties/ noughties, amongst my guilty pleasures of S Club 7 and alien babies, I STILL have a minor (incredibly major) obsession with the Olsen twins. I not only love their fantastically awful films (I still have every single video) but I adore their style and admire the impressive fashion empire that they have created at such a young age.

Every Olsen fan has a twin in particular that they look up to and aspire to be.

Mine?

The Unbelievably gorgeous Ashley Olsen

I have LOVED the Olsen duo ever since I bought Passport to Paris, my first ever Mary-Kate and Ashley video and I have worshipped their style from a young age. As they grew up, their style evolved and their fashion preferences divided their followers into team Mary-Kate and team Ashley. Despite a lot of the crowd following Mary Kate and her loud and bold fashion sense, I have always been a loyal worshipper of Ashley and her classic and conservative style.

My dream day would be to just sit in the Olsen twins' walk in wardrobe and try on everything.

Mary-Kate and Ashley are hugely influential on fashion trends and know exactly what they're talking about, however when they were younger even they could have a few fashion misfires...

CASE AND POINT.
(Although obviously at the time I wanted some tartan/tie dye bootlegs SO BADLY)

Now, as one of the most influential duos in fashion, the Olsen twins have created their own style bible: Influence, a fantastic buy but not what I was expecting at all. Rather than focusing on the talented twins, this eccentric and eclectic book is a compilation of interviews that the gorgeous girls conducted with some of the most influential people in art and fashion, their very own style icons.
It is the PERFECT 'coffee table book' to read or flick through casually with a cup of tea and admire the gorgeous photos.

Bliss.

Once Upon a Time - LUSH.

#Beauty/lifestyle

 CINDERS
Cinnamon and Orange Christmas bath bomb
£2.45 each
Doesn't it just sound LUSH! (Hahaha.)

I was on the LUSH website last night having a festive bath bomb spree when I stumbled across this bad boy...A 'Cinders' bath bomb.

Usually I'd smile and think 'awwh Cinderella, that's nice', have a nostalgic thought about the good old days back when I thought I was a disney princess and then move on to look at some bubble bath bars but this time I couldn't resist adding a few to my basket...

I had Disney princesses on the mind...

I know I'm reeeeeally behind on this one (as it's already on it's 3rd season!!!) but a friend introduced me literally 2 days ago to 'Once Upon A Time'.

For those of you that like me are oblivious to this amaaazing american fairy tale drama, it is a show that takes place in a fictional town called Storybrooke where all the residents are actually characters from various fairytales that have been transported to the 'real world' and robbed of their memories by a powerful curse. The entire TV show is split between two times, the time when they were living the fairytales and the modern day when they can't remember who they were. There are PLENTY of twists though and a lot of it is actually quite dark!
But oh boy is it good. I cannot recommend it enough.
And if it didn't sound good enough already...check out Prince Charming! Corrghh

There is one scene in particular when Prince Charming is having an epic sword fight to protect his new born baby, whilst he's holding her...Sword and baby...

Honestly I've never fancied anyone more...

SO - went off on a bit of a tangent but I really recommend both the Cinders bath bomb and most of all Once Upon a Time! Why not even combine the two and watch a few episode whilst you're having a scrub...?

Let me know if you're a Once Upon A Time fan but no spoilers!! I'm only on season one!

Lola Rose ring loving

#Fashion

Riiiiiing me.

I needed some retail therapy last night after a particularly cold day and somehow found myself on the Lola Rose website...whooops.

If you're not familiar with Lola Rose jewellery, it is one of the most stylish and successful jewellery brands in the UK today, 'specialising in bold, colourful jewellery, handmade from the finest semi-precious stones.' They sell a HUGE range of jewellery but for me their real gems (PUN!) are their absolutely gorgeous ring collections, I have teeny tiny hands and usually look silly wearing big rings but these were just too beautiful to pass by...

Something that attracted me most to the brand was its popularity among hollywood stars and fashionistas ranging from American A-Listers Sarah Jessica Parker, Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry to our very own English royalty, Kate Middleton.

They are a little bit pricey I will admit but I think it's really worth it for such a statement ring. The Lola Rose designer, Nikki Gewirtz follows the philosophy of affordable luxury, creating beautiful celebrity style pieces for less than £50.

This winter, dark nail varnish is so on trend and everyone is following the craze. I'll blog about my recommended nail varnish colours and tips at a later date but for now I've chosen my favourite Lola Rose rings from this year's winter collection and the ones that in my opinion will go the best with dark nail varnish!

Posey Ring (Powder Blue Quartzite)

A Lola Rose ring or jewellery piece would be the PERFECT Christmas gift this winter for a very lucky girl whoever she is...your sister, your mum, your best friend, your wife, your girlfriend OR best of all...YOURSELF.

They come beautifully wrapped in a velvet pouch and a gorgeous gift bag adding extra class to a very special present!

Let me know if you like Lola Rose or have bought anything from there like me! I'd love to know your thoughts on the rings and which ones you liked the most!
