So after nine months in the land of Chanel, breton tops and snails, I have returned to the homeland and cannot wait to be surrounded by rain, Twinings tea and shops that are open on a Sunday.
For those of you that have only started reading my blog, I have spent the past nine months in Tours, just outside of Paris, as part of my university course to not only study and immerse myself in the wonderful french culture but also to write, even self publishing my own magazine.
This past year has been not only one of the most rewarding ones of my life but also the toughest. In going to France I left behind everything: my home, my friends, my family, my boyfriend, my dogs, topshop....
all for a country whose language wasn't my first and where I knew absolutely no one.
That was hard.
For a long time I held onto that pain and anger and over the course of a long distance relationship and missing many important life events with my friends and family, I started to resent even coming to France and somewhere along the way stopped enjoying it.
Thankfully, that passed and all in all I had a wonderful time and I shared hilarious memories with amazing friends that I will have forever.
I know that this post is a little heavy but I thought it important to highlight that yes, at times, life gets to you and situations that can't be prevented dull your sparkle, but that's ok. Life goes on, time passes and soon everything seems ok again, just don't let the situation stop you from making wonderful memories.
'You'll only regret the things you don't do, never the things you've done.'

What an inspirational post :) Thank you x
