On the Eleventh day of Christmas...
We tackle the annual problem of Christmas gifts for her.
Every Christmas everyone faces this dilemma at some point over the holidays, what to get your sister/ mother/ girlfriend/ friend/ wife etc.
I know that everyone has different taste and these won't be to everyone's liking but I've compiled a post of some girly treats in a more expensive price range than my recent blog post on stocking fillers.
These are gifts that are either on my Christmas list or that I have bought this year for one of the important females in my life!
I hope you enjoy and that you find it helpful in sooome way!
Just remember! Girls don't want Christmas presents that they need, they want Christmas presents that they need, want, desire.
Christmas presents should luxurious, sparkly, beautiful, special.
I have gone through a few of the most popular categories for Christmas gifts and have a chosen a personal favourite of mine for each.
Perfume:
Buying perfume for someone is very tricky because not only does perfume smell slightly different on everyone's skin but also, the variety of perfume available is so vast that it is quite literally impossible to find someone the scent that is perfect and to their taste.
Perfume makes a fantastic Christmas present, it's luxurious, beautifully packaged and so special that someone has chosen that specific perfume for you.
My advice would be that if you don't know the lucky woman's favourite perfume, to go for a fail safe and classic scent.
Chanel is definitely on the pricey side of perfume but my god does it make a wonderful present.
My top favourites and most recommended are:
Chanel COCO Mademoiselle eau de parfum: £52 (top photo)
Feminine and Sexy, Young and Exciting.
Chanel Chance £46 (Opposite photo)
**** Fail Safe Present ****
Jewellery/ Watch :
Jewellery and watches are a classic and luxurious Christmas gift. There are lots to choose from but this Christmas I want...
The Metal Rock Chrono Bracelet Watch 40MM
from MARC by MARC JACOBS.
(One of my favourite shops ever!)
In the colour Rose Gold.
£270
Every girl loves having jewellery bought for her but again I would suggest playing it safe and if you are not too sure of her taste, go for something simple, understated and classic.
Handbag:
A handbag is always a classic choice for a girl. Every girl has a bag that they lust over but can't bring themselves to drop the money on. Surprising someone with that bag is the ultimate surprise and luxurious Christmas present. The handbag that I am currently lusting after and hinting non stop to my boyfriend, my family and anyone that will listen...including you all...
The Maisy half suede handbag
From Paul's Boutique
In the colour Stone.
£70
It is chic and classic and you don't have to worry about getting the wrong colour as it's such a neutral tone!
Beautiful Accessories:
A beautiful, luxurious and expensive accessory that you would never be able to afford yourself is always amazing to open and adds a statement piece to your wardrobe.
My chosen one this winter:
The Classic fur bow sheepskin gloves
By UGG
£118
These are very very expensive but they are so pretty and would make the perfect Christmas present from any girl living in a cold country and needing her hands warmed this freezing cold winter!!
And now... My weirdest addition to the list but my personal favourite...
Biscuits Cushions
By Nikki McWilliams
A cushion range based on English biscuits - what could be better!!?
My personal favourites:
Bourbon Biscuit Cushion £31.50 |
Custard Cream Printed Cushion £29.50 |
Pink Wafer Printed Cushion £29.50 |
I hope that this guide has given you a bit of inspiration in present buying for women and has emphasised my point that getting her something that sparkles, shines or that oozes luxury is the right way forward.
However I must say, nothing is better than thought and sentiment going into a gift so if you have a private joke, use it in your present or if you want to get creative, make the present,
It really will mean so much more.
Trust me.
