On the Tenth Day of Christmas...
We tackle the annual problem of Christmas presents for him...
Every Christmas everyone faces this dilemma at some point over the holidays, what to get your boyfriend/ brother/ guy friend etc.
Every guy has different taste and obviously the majority of you will buy your Christmas presents for these guys based on what your relationship is and on little private jokes and moments you have between the two of you so this might not help at all!!!
BUT I always find it useful to hear about the kind of things other people are getting the guys in their life so I thought I'd compile a list of things that I have thought about getting the guys in my life or Christmas presents that I have given to guys in previous years!
I hope that you enjoy and that you find it helpful in sooome way!!!
Cologne
It's a wonderful gift, it is always packaged beautifully, smells incredible and let's face it no one can have too much cologne. Another great advantage of buying cologne for a boyfriend is that you get to choose his scent.
My personal favourite...
Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch.
£55
It is really expensive but it does just smell like the best thing ever. I love this scent so much that any guy that walks past me wearing it is suddenly irresistible to me!
Knitwear
Knitwear is another of my go to presents for guys and at Christmas time what could be a better gift than a gorgeous, soft, warm Christmas jumper!
I have given countless festive jumpers as Christmas presents to guys and it has always gone down so incredibly well! It is quite literally the perfect Christmas gift.
I'm not sure about in different countries but in England, Christmas jumpers are available EVERYWHERE. If you're not from the UK and they are tricky to find I am sure there will be plenty online! The best ones in my opinion are from Topman. H+M and ofcourse my top favourite...
Jack Wills.
These are my top four Jack Wills Christmas jumpers for guys in stock this season!
All of the jumpers displayed are pretty pricey at £98.50 each but remember you can get a student discount and like I said there are SO MANY high street shops with much cheaper and still lovely alternatives.
Hats
Wooly hats are another fantastic gift for Christmas! They're not too expensive and they are quite easy to get right. It is always tricky to find a Christmas present that a brother/ boyfriend/ guy friend will love but hats are so fail safe that it's really hard to go wrong!
Again my favourite hat selection is from Jack Wills, I used to work there so the majority of my previous gifts have been there but again, there are a lot of high street shops that have an equally good selection of wooly hats
without being so expensive!
The shops that I recommend the most are Topman, Carlhaart and Howie's.
All the hats above are £29.50 and don't forget you can get a 15% student discount!
It's such an affordable yet lovely present and is guaranteed to go down incredibly well! It is thoughtful, luxurious and perfect to keep your guy's ears toasty warm this winter!!
Wallet
If I'm honest I've never bought a guy a wallet - I'm too scared that I'd get it horribly wrong but I was browsing the Jack Wills website last night and I saw this gorgeous leather wallet! I'm not sure who I'm going to give it to but I had to buy it because it was so lovely!
There is obviously a huge selection of wallets out there to choose from! But this one just caught my eye...
The Somersby Leather Wallet
100% leather
£39.50
(Don't forget to get a 15% student discount off that if you're a student!)
It may sound expensive but £39.50 for a pure leather smart wallet is such a good price! It's a great size and will fit perfectly in a guy's jean pockets. I don't know which of my lucky guys is getting this but they're pretty damn lucky and they're going to be thrilled!
Jammies
Jammies are always a go to Christmas gift for boyfriends, brothers, friends or even dads.
In the UK we call them lots of different names, one of which is jammies so whatever you call them, PJs, JimJams, Jammies, Pyjamas etc... they are a fantastic present!
Winter is the season for jammies and for snuggles so lovely soft and snuggly PJ bottoms are the perfect treat.
I recommend Marks and Spencer, Abercrombie and Jack Wills! These Jack Wills ones cost £39.50 and I have bought these for a special someone!
Sentimental Gifts
No matter how well all these gifts have gone down in the past for me, I've found NOTHING beats a bit of sentiment...
Last Christmas, I made my boyfriend a homemade stocking full of his favourite things: chocolate, sweets, little things he loved in his childhood, warm wooly socks and little trinkets that we have private jokes about. He loved it so much and was so touched that I had taken the time to make it for him and that I knew him so well. It's a much cheaper alternative and means SO much more.
Another sentimental gift that I am an absolute sucker for is photo albums. I made my boyfriend a photo album of our relationship full of photos, notes, drawings and things I'd collected from our our past dates in our relationship (e.g.- theatre tickets, cinema tickets, coasters from cafes we've been to etc.) Although a photo album might be a better present for Valentines Day!

I hope that this post has given you a little bit of inspiration and has helped you in some way to solve the annual dilemma of what to get for him!!
